€300k Have Your Say budget to be launched in Clondalkin

SOUTH Dublin Council Council will officially launch the next phase of local authorities €300K Have Your Say participatory budget initiative for the Clondalkin electoral area.

Due to Storm Emma, the launch had to be re-scheduled from last week, and it now takes place at the Round Tower visitor centre Brú Chrónáin on Thursday, March 8, at 7pm.

Lucan was chosen by councillors to pilot the initiative in 2017.

Following this, the Clondalkin electoral area was chosen to benefit from the scheme in 2018.

The aim of the initiative is to give individuals and communities the opportunity to input suggestions as to how this €300k budget is used in a way that will benefit their locality.

Residents are invited to attend the event, where they can receive information on how to submit project suggestions, see examples of projects from the previous phase, and meet other groups and individuals who wish to get involved in the initiative at an early stage.
