Disqualified motorist caught driving while drinking beer and using mobile phone

A motorist was arrested this week after they were spotted driving while drinking a bottle of beer and using their mobile phone.

The driver was stopped by the Garda Commercial Unit, and once they were questioned by officers it turned out they were also disqualified from driving.

Added to this, the person had no insurance, road tax or NCT.

A message from Gardai said: “Commercial vehicle Unit stop disqualified driver on phone while drinking bottle of beer. No tax/insurance or nct! Arrested and court to follow.”
