eBeauty - Blushing Bridal

Welcome back to this week’s eBeauty Blog. As we all know, summer is definitely the most popular season for saying ‘I Do’. Whether you’re a guest at the wedding or you’re a DIY Bride, this quick and easy tutorial will show you all the steps to create a gorgeous, glowing makeup look suitable for tying the knot! Have a read of my top 5 must haves when doing a bridal makeover below.

Strobe Cream

To be honest, I use Strobe Cream in most of my makeovers and even on myself. I love the finish it gives and I like how it gives you a glow without making you look shiny. This is why this is perfect for brides. When doing bridal makeup you always have to take photography into account, shininess + flash photography = sweaty looking faces!

My two favourite foundations L'Oreal Truematch Lumi and Maybelline FitMe, mixed together, is my favourite bridal base. The properties from FitMe give coverage and mattifies and Lumi foundation adds radiance and naturally brightens.

I use Catrice Camouflage concealer on all my clients. It is so versatile and genuinely applies well onto all skin types/ages. With concealer, I always got two – three times lighter and tend to use a yellow tone as this will brighten and conceal and dark circles.

Translucent Powder

When doing bridal makeup, translucent powder is one of the most important products you will use. Loose or compact, these will set the face without leaving you white and will prevent any flashback in photos.

Whether your bride likes a red, pink or nude, never go matte when it comes to bridal makeup. Matte lips will dry the lips and may end up flaking. I always use a cream, satin or even just a pigmented gloss. They are hydrating and will look way softer.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks ‘Blushing Bridal’ topic. Who knows, maybe you could perfect your bridal makeup and become the next DIY Bride.
