Naas Road closed due to serious road traffic collision at Kingswood

Motorists using the Naas Road outbound have been asked to use alternative routes this morning as the road is closed just after Junction Two (Kingwood) due to a serious road traffic collision.

Drivers are being advised to travel through Tallaght and Saggart and rejoin the Naas Road at Rathcoole.

The road has been closed since just after 7am, and a large number of emergency services are on the scene, including Gardai and Dublin Fire Brigade.

A Garda spokesperson said: “The Naas Rd past Junction 2 Kingswood outbound is closed to traffic due to a serious collision.

“Traffic is being asked to take alternative routes. Traffic outbound can go through Tallaght – Saggart – and rejoin at Rathcoole.”

Meanwhile, a Dublin Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “We are dealing with a serious RTC on Naas Road. Road completely blocked just before junction 3. Please avoid the area.”
