“We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible.”

Thankfully, according to several locals who have contracted the Echo, power has been restored ahead of the daylight fading.

Meanwhile, in Greenhills, a small number (70) of homes are without power as are a number of houses in Ballyboden (87)
