SDCC issus warning over bogus recycling day collections

South Dublin County Council have warned residents to be aware of what they say are “bogus” flyers being delivered to local homes.

The flyer itself contains information about an apparent free recycling day, and asks people to leave certain goods outside their front gates for collection.

Listed on the leaflet are items such as car batteries, lawnmowers, games consoles, hoovers and more, while household good are also included.

Rubbish collections are another item mentioned, and according to SDCC, “these flyers are bogus and could result in illegal dumping”.
