Gardai investigate stabbing incident in Tallaght

GARDAI are investigating a stabbing incident in Tallaght last night (Sunday, February 4), which saw a man in his twenties receive non-life threatening injuries.

According to Gardai, up to three men forcibly entered a house in Birchwood Heights, Springfield, last night - with a man in his twenties stabbed during the incident.


The Echo understands that at least one of the front windows of the house was broken, with a Garda presence remaining at the front of the house this morning.

A Garda spokesperson said: “We can confirm that an incident did take place Sunday, February 4, in Tallaght at approximately 7.50pm.

“Two or three males arrived at a house and forced entry to premises. A man in his 20s was stabbed in this incident.

“His injuries are not life-threatening.”
