Sunny days on the way this week as temperatures set to soar

You can almost be guaranteed to see some great weather this week, with Met Eireann forecasting temperatures will hit the low twenties by Thursday.

Today and tomorrow (Tuesday) look set to be mixed, with some patchy rain and cloud, but it is predicted that the heat will begin to hit by Wednesday.

According to Met Eireann, some good sunny periods will increase temperatures and force the mercury towards the high teens and low twenties.

That will be followed by even better weather on Thursday, with Met Eireann saying it will be the best day of the week thanks to clear skies.

The good weather and high temperatures will continue into Friday, but rain in the west and mid-west is expected.

A change in the weather come the weekend will see generally unsettled weather, with some rain and wind forecast by Met Eireann.

So, the message is, take Thursday off, buy your copy of this week’s Echo, and find a spot in the back garden to soak up the rays.
