Young girl (11) dies following road traffic collision in Lucan

AN eleven-year-old girl involved in a single vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the Lower Lucan Road on Saturday morning has tragically died.

Gardai confirmed to The Echo that the young girl passed away earlier today, and are appealing for witnesses to come forward in relation to the single vehicle road traffic collision.

According to Gardai: “The injured female youth passed away this morning Monday, 13th January 2020.

"Gardaí in Lucan are investigating a single vehicle serious road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 11.30am on Saturday the 11th of January 2020 on the Lower Lucan Rd, Lucan, Co Dublin.

“Gardai are appealing to any persons who may have witnessed the collision or any road users who may have been in the area at the time and who may have camera footage.”
