THREE Rock Rovers claimed a third successive EY Champions Trophy as they fended off regular season champions Lisnagarvey to win 2-0, and added the Irish Senior Cup to their list of accolades the following week with a win over the same opposition.

THERE was great success for local clubs at the MGL Cup Finals as Cherry Orchard, Kilnamanagh and Terenure Rangers won their respective titles.

ST MAELRUAN’S suffered a double defeat as they were beaten 0-1 by Tallaght United for the Bedlow Cup before losing out on penalties against Sandford St Mary’s to the United Churches Football League Division 3A Shield.

DONORE Harriers boasted five gold medallists at the Leinster Schools Track and Field Championships, with Louis O’Loughlin breaking a 21-year-old championship record in the Senior Boys 800m with a time of 1.52.43.

JOBSTOWN Boxing Club took their National Championship title tally to four for the year after both Sienna Fitzpatrick and Stacey O’Connor took the final step on the road to their respective honours at Girls Finals.

ST MACDARA’S CC overturned deficits in both hurling and football to win their respective Juvenile and Senior Top Oil Dublin Post Primary Schools Finals

THERE was double joy for St Jude’s Under 15 footballers as both their ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams were successful in their respective Shield and Championship finals.

LOCAL clubs had massive success at the Ladies Football Féile as St Annes, Templeogue Synge Street and St Jude’s all were crowned champions.

CRUMLIN United secured the Lanigan Cup for the second year running, while a Craig Brennan goal was enough to see Knockmitten United to the Vere Deane Cup.

NAMED The Echo Team of the Month for May, Crumlin United’s intermediate team capped off their superb season when they won the Leinster Senior League and the Metropolitan Cup.

THE seventh annual Dublin Masters International Tour-nament saw a feast of basketball take place in four different venues across South Dublin with 40 teams from around the world taking part.

SEÁN Hehir of Rathfarnham WSAF recorded a superb 72-minute victory in the Lap of the Gap Half Marathon, shaving nine minutes off the course record.
