€11,260 was awarded to Childhood Development Initiative (on behalf of Dublin CYPSC) for their Voices in Homelessness while South Dublin County Partnership (Kick Academy) received €9,989.52 for the KICK (Kickboxing to Inspire & Challenge Kids).

The local initiatives will be supported by combined funding of €48,800.

The Innovation Funding Measure was launched in 2018 to support prevention and early intervention innovations.

These innovations build on existing data and evidence to improve outcomes for children and young people (0–24 years) who experience disadvantage in Ireland.

In awarding the funding Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Katharine Zappone said: “This funding will provide further support for the work of these innovative and ground-breaking projects across Ireland.

I am delighted that the funding will also benefit so many local projects making real positive changes to the lives of children and young people in our community.”

This funding measure is supported through Dormant Accounts Funding.
