The week’s activities feature music, dancing, and a siúlóid glas (walk) on March 10 which involves local students, staff, parents and Erasmus visitors with Ballyfermot Youth Service, followed by performances of Irish song and music.

Beidh pobal Bhaile Thormaid ag seoladh Seachtain na Gaeilge 2020, sa Leabharlann Bhaile Thormaid ar an Satharn Márta 7ú ag 11am. Beidh ceol agus craic ann ó Ballyer Trad Hub.

Ar an Márta 10ú, ag 11 a chlog ar maidin, beidh na céadta daltaí ó na Scoileanna in mBaile Thormaid, ag glacadh páirt í Siúlóid Glas ar Bhóthar Bhaile Thormaid.

Siúlfaidh na daltaí le chéile ar son na Gaeilge ó Leabharlann Bhaile Thormaid go Ionad Phobail Bhaile Thormaid áit a mbeidh ceol traidisiúnta agus siamsaíocht ann. Ócáid stairiúil a bheidh ann.

Oíche Déardaoin Márta 12ú, beidh Céilí Mór do dhaoine fásta san Ionad Phobail ar a 8 a chlog.

I rith na seachtaine, beidh ranganna Gaeilge ar siúl san Ionad Phobail gach lá ag 12.30 d’aon duine a bhfuil suim acu sa Ghaeilge. Tar isteach agus labhair cúpla focail!

On March 12 at the Civic Centre, there is an Adult Céilí and don’t forget the beginner classes in the Civic Centre every day at 12.30.

Go deimhin, tá an Ghaeilge beo I mBaile Thormaid agus mar a deir an seanfhocal ‘Tír gan Teanga, Tír gan anam.’
