On This Day in 1982: Ballyfermot Library has a lot to offer

On this day in 1982 the RTE cameras travelled to Ballyfermot Library to find out all about the local amenity and how it had changed over the years.

Aonghus McAnally outlined the types of books on offer and Nuala Hayes found out how to join the library.

Eileen Corbett of Dublin Corporation’s Schools and Libraries section described the steps involved in becoming a member of the library.

They also discussed how the facilities offered by libraries have changed over the years.

Anyone from the area will be sure to spot some familiar faces, with lots of young children featuring in the short piece.
