On Friday, October 9, James McMahon (29), Riversdale Road, Clondalkin, was arrested and charged with twenty further offences relating to the incidents between March 22-24, 2020.

Bail was refused by Judge McHugh after stringent objections by Detective Garda Harte.

James McMahon was remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court on October 14.

He was remanded to appear again before Blanchardstown District Court on November 11.

On Monday, October 12, Keith Chrystal (31), Glenshane Grove, Tallaght, was charged with a total of twenty three charges relating to this spree of offending between March 22-24, 2020.

Despite stringent objections to bail under Section 2 of the Bail Act, Keith Chrystal was granted bail by Judge McHugh.

However, strict conditions were imposed and will be closely monitored. The case was put back to November 11, 2020, Blanchardstown District Court for service of the book of evidence.

According to gardai, a total of nine vehicles have been recovered at this point in relation to the investigation.

The recovered vehicles were found at locations in Clondalkin, Tallaght, Saggart, Rathcoole and Kingswood.

Gardai say the investigation provides a reminder for the public at this time of the year when burglaries are most prevalent to adhere to the ‘Lock up, Light up’ guidance and other crime prevention advice available at www.garda.ie
