August Team of the Month Team of the Month - Ballyboden's Ahl three Champions

BALLYBODEN St Enda’s GAA Club now boast teams in the top two tiers of Dublin hurling after their AHL Division Three team were crowned champions.

The Firhouse Road side secured their place in Division Two following an emphatic 1-26 to 0-13 victory over a Parnells side that were battling furiously to avoid relegation.

That win was made all the more impressive given the fact that, with the Ballyboden ‘A’ team contesting a league final on the same day, some of the ‘B’ squad regulars where required to step up the ranks for that match.

Still, they had the necessary fire power to see this one over the line and complete a fantastic campaign that saw them win 10 games out of 11, with their only loss coming against Castleknock.

Reflecting on his side’s successful season manager Brendan Moran said “We have had a great campaign, a solid tough campaign and we’re very happy to have won the league.”
