ALONE seeks go-ahead for 43 apartments in Inchicore

ALONE, the organisation which supports older people, has lodged an application for the demolition of two apartment buildings and construction of 43 new apartments in Inchicore.

The planning application was lodged with Dublin City Council for land located at Jamestown Court, on lands bounded by Jamestown Road, accessed off Jamestown Road.

Included in the planning is the demolition of two two-storey apartment buildings and the construction of two apartment buildings comprising of one three-storey block and one four-storey block, containing 43 one-bedroom apartments with private balconies.

The plans include covered external walkways together with community facilities including community centre on ground floor of proposed Block A, landscaped courtyard, mobility storage area and refuse storage.

Also included is six car-parking spaces plus 44 bicycle spaces and ESB sub-station.

The site works to include upgrade of open space amenity area for completed phase one of overall development.
