LloydsPharmacy is offering small Irish health and beauty businesses the opportunity to take their business to the next level of growth.

As part of the ‘New Business Clinics’ initiative which is in its third year running, Irish businesses will compete to have their health and beauty products stocked in LloydsPharmacy’s 94 stores across Ireland.

The ‘New Business Clinics’ initiative has been running successfully for the last two years and is an exciting opportunity for Irish health and beauty companies to market their products to Ireland’s largest pharmacy group.

It is hoped that the involvement of Enterprise Ireland will encourage even more Irish suppliers to get involved.

Extensive support and mentoring from Ireland’s largest pharmacy group will be on offer to successful applicants in addition to having their products stocked in LloydsPharmacy.

Commenting on the initiative, Martina Doyle, Director of Operations at LloydsPharmacy Ireland said, “We are delighted to once again be launching the LloydsPharmacy ‘New Business Clinics’ initiative.

“It’s an ideal opportunity for emerging Irish businesses to draw upon our experience and geographic spread.

“Being part of this initiative can help Irish companies to take their business to the next level, and expand their distribution right across Ireland and possibly even beyond. We encourage small Irish health and beauty companies to get involved.

“Indeed, we are committed to championing Irish suppliers and their products. We are currently expanding our footprint, employee numbers and healthcare services across Ireland so it’s a great opportunity for New Business Clinics’ finalists to be part of this exciting retail journey.”

Dublin-based company, Niks Tea, was one of the finalists in last-year’s New Business Clinics and is now supplying in several stores around the country. Niks Tea is an award-winning supplier of imported teas from around the world, specialising in loose leaf teas, blended with real fruits, herbs & spices.

Many previous New Business Clinics finalists have enjoyed significant success since participating in the Clinics.

These include Galway-based nutrition supplement creator, Revive Active. The New Business Clinic Winner for 2014, Revive Active has seen its business grow significantly since hitting pharmacy shelves and doubled its turnover in the last 12 months, even entering the all-important UK market through the LloydsPharmacy network.

Liam Salmon, Operations Director of Galway Natural Health Company, who produce Revive Active, said:
“Our company participated in the LloydsPharmacy’s New Business Clinic last year to get a stronger foothold in the Irish market and since winning we haven’t looked back. Our company’s continued growth and robust financial performance attests to this fact.

“I would strongly encourage any company with an innovative or unique health or beauty product to apply for this year’s New Business Clinic. It has helped our company’s success immensely.”

Businesses with market-ready products and services across health, wellness, medical devices, personal care, dermocosmetics and beauty sectors are encouraged to apply.

Getting involved is simple. Application forms can be found on our website www.lloydspharmacy.ie/newbusinessclinics and completed application forms should be emailed to katy.harman@lloydspharmacy.ie.

Applications are open for submission untill March 25and applicants successful at the first stage will be invited to pitch their application and tender for business from 12th-14th April, from 2016.
