2,567 requests logged for tree maintenance
A TOTAL of 2,567 requests for tree maintenance were logged with South Dublin County Council from January this year up to September 30, 2018.
The council released this figure in response to a question which was asked by Sinn Féin councillor Rob Russell at last week’s meeting of the Rathfarnham/Templeogue-Terenure Area Committee.
The council stated in their response: “It is important to recognise that the number of requests for tree maintenance is not a reflection of the actual requirement for intervention.
“Requests for tree maintenance are prompted by many factors and following inspection of a tree, the requested action is sometimes considered unwarranted or the prevailing issue can be resolved by an alternative remedial action that does not involve tree works.”
