Gardai remind people that restrictions remain in place

GARDAI have moved to remind people that restrictions remain in place after an increase in traffic was noted on local roads this week.

Speaking with The Echo, Tallaght District Superintendent Ian Lackey said that on Monday and Tuesday of this week, an increase in traffic was noted.

“There appears to be a slight increase in traffic for non-essential reasons”, Supt Lackey said.

“We’d like to remind people that restrictions are still in place.

“People are by and large still abiding by the restrictions but there’s a few who seem to have taken their foot off the pedal.”

According to Supt Lackey, while traffic remains low within village areas and estates, there is still a lot of people visiting beauty spots like the Hell Fire Club.
