A DEVELOPER has submitted additional information in relation to plans for the construction of 16 two-storey houses at Killinarden Heights in Tallaght, to form part of the Elder Heath development upon completion.

Kelland Homes Ltd lodged an application with South Dublin County Council last October, seeking permission for the development to be comprised of 16 houses, consisting of one four-bed detached house, six three-bed semi-detached houses and nine two- and three-bed terraced houses.

Access to the proposed development is to be via a new vehicular access road located off the existing Elder Heath Drive to the south of the subject site.

The proposed development is to be located on a site of circa 0.81 hectares located at Killinarden Heights, and when finished will form part of the existing Elder Heath estate.

Last December, South Dublin County Council requested additional information from the developer, including a revised site layout to show natural surveillance of public open spaces, adequate rear amenity spaces for all dwellings and adequate separation distances between the houses.

Other additional information which the local authority requested included revised floorplans and elevations, a scaled landscape masterplan, a review of the drainage layout, and complete surface water attenuation calculations.

The developer submitted the additional material earlier this month, and a decision on the application is due from the council by May 27.
