MIXED Martial Arts training gym and home of Paddy Holohan and Conor McGregor, SBG (Straight Blast Gym) Ireland, looks set to establish its first Tallaght location after applying for planning permission for the facility.

The application, which was submitted by SBG Tallaght, is for the conversion of an existing warehouse within the Glen Abbey Complex located off the Belgard Road.

It is for the change of use of the existing 711 sqm existing warehouse floor area to gym use, along with the provision of a 147 sqm internal mezzanine level exiting first floor level of the building into the existing warehouse space.

Also included within the application is provision for illuminated signage to the front and side of the building.

SBG Plans

SBG Ireland’s 10,000 sqft headquarters is located within the Concorde Industrial Estate on the Naas Road.

SBG’s new location in Tallaght was announced by SBG owner John Kavanagh in early 2015, with the state-of-the-art facility expected to include a dedicated octagon and sparring ring.
