Plastic Matters for student Aaron

WELL organised, street smart, go-getter Aaron Sexton impressively made it through to the final of the ‘Foróige Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2016’ held at the Mansion House in Dublin on Thursday, reports William O’Connor.
The Drimnagh Castle student was chosen as a finalist from 1,000 young entrepreneurs who set up start-up businesses as part of the Foróige Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) programme this year. 
The programme empowers young people to develop core skills in business and enterprise to help them unlock their individual talents and potential.
A total of seven businesses from Tipperary, Dublin, Donegal and Sligo participated in the final and showcased their businesses and products to judges and guests at the awards event.
Aaron, who is in Tranistion Year, set up his start-up enterprise Plastic Matters produces Next Generation Desk Organisers.
Having studied technology at school, Aaron designs, fabricates and supplies the product himself and said “he also learned a lot about plastic fabrication from his father over the years”. His business slogan is ‘Get Organised’.
Congratulating all the finalists Sean Campbell, Chief Executive, Foróige said: “The young entrepreneurs chosen to compete in the final are creative, assertive, idea generators that have their fingers on the pulse and make things happen.
“Their entrepreneurial passion is unquenchable and I have no doubt that many will go on to run successful businesses in their future lives.”
