Garda manhunt underway after terrifying armed robbery at Lucan pharmacy
Staff were left terrified at a Lucan pharmacy yesterday after an armed man threatened workers before leaving with a sum of money.
The robber, believed to be carrying a handgun, entered the pharmacy located in the Griffeen Centre in Lucan just after noon and ordered the frightened staff to hand over money from the cash register.
In a statement released by gardai, a spokesperson said: “Gardaí in Lucan are investigating a robbery from a pharmacy on Griffeen Road, Lucan.
“The incident occurred on 27/02/17 at approx 12:10pm.
“A man entered the premises with what is believed to be a firearm, threatened staff and made off with a sum of money.”
Gardai confirmed no arrests have been made yet and have asked anyone with information to contact Lucan Garda Station on 01-6667300.
