More than 5,000 Clondalkin homes and businesses without power

More than 5,000 homes and businesses are without power in the Clondalkin area this morning due to a power outage.

The areas affected include Monastery Road, Clondalkin Village, Knockmitten and Newlands Cross.

According to the ESB, 5,704 customers are affected, and they are estimating power to be restored by 11:45am.

The AA have also warned motorists in the area to take care as traffic lights along some routes in Clondalkin are currently out of the action.
