Al Porter set to have the last laugh on Christmas Eve

If you are looking for a giggle this Christmas Eve, Tallaght’s finest comedian Al Porter has you covered as he will host his variety show on RTE2 at 9:45pm.
The comedian, who has had a remarkable 2015, recorded the show in the Olympia Theatre recently, and special guests on the night will include PJ Gallagher and America’s Got Talent winner Paul Zerdin.
Others who will grace the stage include Spencer Jones, Pete Firman from the BBC’s Magicians, comedy hip-hop artist Abandoman, Irish comedienne Emma Doran, Rory Cowan from Mrs Browns Boys and Pat McDonnell and Joe Rooney from Father Ted.
Speaking ahead of the show airing on Thursday night Al Porter said lots of laughs and madness are guaranteed, and if you can’t watch it that night at least leave the channel on!
He said: I’ll probably be in the Jobstown House having a few pints myself, but maybe just leave it on in your gaff so RTE think we’re all watching it”.
