Amazing support for festival

A FANTASTIC week of events finished off in style at the weekend for the Ballyfermot Cherry Orchard 2023 Festival.

Organisers cited a whirlwind time and “amazing support from the people of Ballyfermot who came along to all our events”.

Taking to social media after the conclusion of the July 1-9 festival, organisers said: “We just wanted to say a huge thank you to all. We had concerts, family fun days, music, dancing, theatre and a bake off, to name but a few.”

Residents are being asked what they would like to see at next year’s festival.

“Have you an idea for a new event you’d like us to consider adding to the programme next time? Are you a new group in the area and would you like to showcase what you do? If so, get in touch when we start asking for a committee next year because it really does take an army of volunteers to pull off an event like this,” said organisers.

“We’re taking a well earned rest for a while now but again, thank you and roll on next year.”
