AMAZON have been granted permission for the retention of a number of modifications made to a building on the Greenhills Road in Tallaght.
Applicant Amazon Data Services Ireland Ltd (ADSIL) were granted planning permission in 2015 for the construction of a two-storey building for electronic operations, mechanical plant rooms and support areas on the site of the former Shinko Building.
ADSIL made a number of alterations to the previously granted planning permission which were granted permission for retention.
These include the modification of the site entrance at the north boundary, including the omission of the security hut and the redesign of gates.
The modifications also included the redesign of the sprinkler water tank and pump house compound, the relocation of the humidifier pump house and tanks to the southeastern corner of the main building, with the redesign tank room enclosed within the main building.
Other changes to the original planning application include the rearrangement of the standby generator layout, the relocation of the temporary substation and a new enclosure to standby generators.
Further modifications include an added 164sqm of circulation, loading and storage accommodation at ground floor level and 9sqm at mezzanine level.
There are also changes to the main building to facilitate access to the relocated loading bay; internal layout changes to offices and west storage bay areas with associated elevational changes; 79sqm of additional accommodation at first floor level with associated elevational changes and the enlargement of louvered wall vents on the south elevation.
The total added accommodation equals 252sqm.
