Apex Hub scheme in Calmount Park starts

WORK has commenced on the development of a logistics scheme called Apex Hub on Calmount Road in Ballymount.

The scheme comprises five logistics units ranging from 3,168sq.m to 4,174sq.m, with an emphasis on sustainability, associated offices, staff car parking and service yards.

All of the units will contain green walls, and landscaping and planting will be carried out for each of the units.

According to CBRE, which, with Savills, is a joint selling agent for the scheme: “Sustainability and environmental performance are at the heart of Apex Hub and the development centres around healthy, energy efficient buildings that reduce the carbon footprint of both the park and its occupiers.

“Park Developments will continue to build its logistics units to LEED’s globally recognised Gold certification – a barometer for healthy, efficient, carbon-saving and cost-efficient green buildings.”

All of the units will be available for sale or to let, and the overall Apex Hub site has potential for the development of an additional block of enterprise units, subject to the required planning permission.
