Ballyfermot great-great-grandmother hoping to celebrate 100th birthday with message from Mrs Brown

A Ballyfermot great-great-grandmother who is set to celebrate her 100th birthday later this month is hoping her favourite TV star will send her a special birthday message.

Maureen Hodgins from Le Fanu Road is one of Mrs Brown’s biggest fans, and her family have taken to social media in the hope of getting a message to Agnes in time for Maureen’s big day on September 23rd.

Speaking to Echo.ie, Maureen’s grand-daughter Paula said: “She is our very own Mrs Brown, she is a great woman who only stopped working when she was 80.

“The response to the post on Facebook has been incredible, it really has, we’ve heard from loads of people and hopefully Mrs Brown can make her day and send her a message.”

The plea for the public’s help has seen thousands share the post, and we want to do our bit to help create the best day ever for Maureen.
