Barber fined €300 for dealing in cannabis
A BARBER who was dealing over €1,000 worth of cannabis from his home has left Blanchardstown District Court with a €300 fine.
Thomas Black’s solicitor, Simon Fleming, told Judge David McHugh that his client had got into a dispute with his employer at the time of the incident.

Thomas Black, aged 35, with an address at Rowlagh Park, Neilstown, had pleaded not guilty to simple possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis for sale or supply at the above address on July 6, 2017.
The case was before Judge McHugh for hearing.
Mr Fleming told the judge that his client was changing his plea to guilty.
Garda Paul McWeeney told the court that on the above date, a search was carried out at an address in Rowlagh Park and cannabis worth €1,096 was found.
Garda McWeeney said Black had two previous convictions.
In 2002 he had received the Probation Act for Section 4 of the Public Order Act and he had a conviction for drunken driving from 2010.
Mr Fleming put it to Garda McWeeney that his client had made “certain admissions” when arrested.
Garda McWeeney accepted that this was the case.
Mr Fleming said Black had worked for 20 years as a barber and in 2014 after having a dispute with his employer he went through a difficult time.
Convicting, Judge McHugh fined Black €300.
