Boden win Junior B and Junior E Championships
WHILE their senior hurlers lost in the county final, Ballyboden St Enda’s still had plenty to cheer about when they secured the Junior B Hurling Championship and the Junior E Hurling decider.
Boden overcame the challenge of Lucan Sarsfields in the Junior B Championship decider in Pairc Ui Mhurchu 0-18 to 0-15 on Sunday and followed this up with a fine win over Ballinteer St John’s 6-13 to 0-10 in the Junior decider in Meadowvale.
In the junior E decider, Boden were always on top and by half time were leading by 2-8 to 0-5 with full forward Robbie O’Reilly among the scorers.
After a close opening 10 minutes, Boden eventually opened the scoring with Tom Culleton finding the back of the net while John Farrington, Daniel Daly, Ollie Brophy and Ciaran Kiely split the posts with scores.
