
Body of young man found in park in Tallaght

Gardai are investigating the discovery of a man’s body in Butler Park off Cheeverstown Road this morning.
The man, who is in his twenties, was discovered shortly after 6.30am this morning, Saturday (June 23).
The area is sealed off and gardai are carrying out a technical examination of the scene.
The office of State Pathologist has been notified.
According to a Garda statement: “Gardai are investigating the discovery of a body of a man at Butler Park off the Cheeverstown Road in Tallaght, Dublin 24.
“The body of the man in his 20s was discovered shortly after 6.30am on Saturday 23 June 2018.
“The area is sealed off and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
“The Garda Technical Bureau are carrying out an examination of the scene.”
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses who were in the park yesterday evening or early this morning to contact Tallaght Garda Station on 6666000.
