Bushido Karate Gendai takes its share in Citywest

BUSHIDO Karate Gendai Club made its presence felt at the 2018 Irish International Open in Citywest recently.

Fielding seven fighters in the event, the club saw Aaron O'Connor make it through four fights to set up a clash against the reigning -63kg World Champion from Italy Timothy Bos to whom he narrowly lost out.

Lucan’s Roisin Brady won gold in the -52kg Full Contact, beating a tough fighter from Portugal Jorge Catarina in the decider.

Her brother Daniel Brady came up against another Irish competitor in the semi finals  and lost out in a very close -54kg Full Contact contest.
