Byrne appointed Dublin Camogie chairperson

JENNY Byrne is the new chairperson of the Dublin Camogie Board.
The Round Tower Clondalkin member was announced as the new chairperson on Tuesday night and replaces Pat Martin from Naomh Brid.
Byrne, who was also County Board Minor Board chairperson in 2013, is a well-known club referee and also took charge of an All-Ireland final.
Byrne refereed the All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie final between Waterford and Kildare in Croke Park in 2015.
In the same year, the former Colaiste Chilliain student was in charge of the Ashbourne Cup Final, Leinster Intermediate decider and the Division Two National League semi-final.
The Ballyfermot match official also played club camogie with Round Tower up until 2014.
