Call-out for court video links for domestic violence victims

CALLS have been made for victims of domestic abuse to be allowed to attend court hearings via video link.

With cases on the rise, Saoirse Domestic Violence Services, who support women and children suffering from serious abuse, say the video link facility is currently only available to perpetrators, and that the requirement for victims to be dragged back into court for hearings causes additional trauma and stress.
