Camera club launch exhibition with up to 60 photos on show
Clondalkin Camera Club are launching an exhibition in the library.
The exhibition will be launched by Councillor Francis Timmons (Ind) on behalf of the Mayor.
It is hoped that the exhibition will run for two weeks.
All photos in the exhibition are photos taken by members of the club.
Speaking to The Echo, Joe Joyce, Chairperson of the club said that there will be different media in the exhibition. “There will be colour print and black and white print on display. There will be roughly 60 photos in the exhibition,” he added.
On Wednesday, May 22, the club held its Maureen Dunne natural world competition. “Maureen was a member of the club and she had a very keen interest in nature photography and her family donated the trophy for the competition,” explained Joe.
The club meets every Tuesday evening in Áras Chrónain from 7.30 pm to 9.30/10 pm.
At the exhibition the Club will be advertising the introduction to photography course that they run in September and February.
“We take new members in over a weekend and go through the basics with them,” said Joe.
The club are always open to people who would like to become a member.
“The exhibition will be an opportunity for good footfall,” added Joe.
