Check out these top 15 costumes of Halloween 2019

Here at The Echo we have been overwhelmed with the amazing entries for the 2019 Halloween Costume competition, we could have made a top 100 list!

However, after much deliberating we managed to whittle it down to the top 15 entries, all of which went into a hat and one winner was picked.

The Best Costume of 2019 and winner of the fangtastic €50 voucher for Smyths is… Jacob from Firhouse who played it super cool this year as Marshmello the DJ. Congratulations Jacob! 

In no particular order, here’s the 14 other finalists…  

Samantha and her daughter Amber made this horrifying costume for her last day of school and it looks like a right pain in the neck.

Check out Emmarose the jellyfish, we’d say she stung a lot of homeowners on her trick or treat round.

Technically cheating the top 15 with this one but sister and brother Suzy and Shane from Lucan were so good we just couldn’t seperate them.

We wonder if six-year-old Katelyn from Kilnamanagh predicted that her fortune teller costume that she made with her dad would make the list.

Wow, what an uplifting costume from little Layla.

Shriek! This costume from Grace and her creepy doll is one of the scariest outfits we’ve seen this year. 

Tea? Go on, go on, go on. Cindy and Reilly dressed up as legendary Father Ted characters Mrs Doyle and Father Jack.

There’s no getting the ball past scarily good goalkeeper Bobby, who is five-years-old.

How cool is Carley from Tallaght’s Bumblebee costume? She made this fully transforming outfit with her dad.

Would you pick up a six-piece chicken nugget from this spooky zombie drive-thru by Kian?

It wasn’t hard to compute that Max’s robot costume should make the top 15 Halloween costume list.

 Adam definitely put his stamp on the costume competition with his post box, which was inspired by the post boxes he walks past in Tallaght Village on his way to school. 

Siblings Zenan and Kenedi linked up with their cousin Luke to form the cast of Aladdin. Check out that skateboard flying carpet!

Fair play to Ballyfermot lad Dawson for serving up this very tasty Halloween costume.
