Clondalkin Camera Club: Annual AGM was ‘well attended by its members’
The Clondalkin Camera Club held their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 30, the first one to be held in-person since the onset of the pandemic, reports Steven Reid.
This AGM was the 35th in the club’s history and was reported to be: “Well attended by its members” according to a spokesperson from the club.
Although the Camera Club offered meetings and events over Zoom throughout the pandemic, members were: “Delighted that the club had resumed competitions, outings, and meetings.”
The club was able to thrive even during the pandemic however, with weekly Zoom meetings each consisting of a variety of: “Digital competitions, overseas speakers and education as well as a bit of chat and fun.”
The club was also thrilled to report they gained new members during the Zoom era and received a grant in the amount of €1,000 from LDCC SDC to assist with recurring costs.
Speaking on the grant and the future of the club a spokesperson added: “This was a great help and is very much appreciated. Our committee was strengthened by the nomination of Liz O Neill and Joe Joyce joining it and planning for the coming year will commence after a short break.”
The results of the League Table were also announced at this edition of the AGM, with the League Table consisting of: “Results of all competitions held during the year for Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced Photographers in Colour Print, Monochrome Print, and Projected Colour and Monochrome digital images.”
Winner of the Maureen Dunne Memorial cup for Natural World photograph was Liz Dean O’Neill.
