Posting on social media following the event, Clondalkin Parkrun said: “Wow, what a morning that was. We smashed our attendance record with a huge crowd of 326.

Nobody got lost (as far as we know!) as we ran the course in reverse, and we had loads and loads of cake.

“A huge ‘thank you’ to all of the volunteers for making the event go as smoothly as ever, and well done to everyone who took part.

“We’d also like to thank South Dublin County Sports Partnership and Dublin’s Outdoors for helping with the refreshments and photography.”

At the 100th Clondalkin Parkrun, Ciaran O’Raghallaigh was first with a time of 18.01.

Caren Crowley from Donore Harriers was the first female past the post, finishing 56th overall with a time of 23.08.
