Clonmel tragedy: South Dublin Mayor opens Book of Condolence
AN ONLINE Book of Condolence has been opened to allow those living in South Dublin County to express their sympathies to the families of Zoey Coffey, Nicole Murphy and siblings Grace and Luke McSweeney.
The four young people lost their lives in a single-vehicle road crash while on route to celebrate the Leaving Certificate results.
Since the tragic loss of four young lives, hundreds gathered in Clonmel for a vigil in memory of Zoey, Nicole, Grace and Luke, and to support and comfort each other through the devastating grief.
Here in South Dublin County, Mayor Alan Edge has opened an online Book of Condolence to allow those living in the county to express their sympathies and offer support to the families, friends and communities of Zoey, Nicole, Grace and Luke.
Opening the Book of Condolence, Mayor Edge said: “On behalf of the people of South Dublin, I extend our most sincere and heartfelt sympathies to the families, friends and classmates of Grace McSweeney, Nicole Murphy, Zoey Coffey and Luke McSweeney whose bright futures have been cut tragically short.
“Our hearts go out to the community in Clonmel as they try to come to terms with this terrible tragedy.”
The Book of Condolence can be signed on South Dublin County Council’s website HERE.
