Coláiste Cois Life stole the (as Gaeilge) show at All-Ireland final of Scléip 2020

LUCAN teenagers from Coláiste Cois Life stole the show at the recent All-Ireland Final of Scléip 2020.
This annual event, organised by Gael Linn, is put on in celebration of contemporary music, song, and dance ‘as Gaeilge’.

Funded by Foras na Gaeilge, Scléip is for Irish medium second-level schools nationwide to participate in and show off their talents for competition.
After the preliminary rounds that took place before Christmas, 300 students qualified for the final that was held in the Clasach theatre, Clontarf, Dublin on Wednesday, January 29.
Of these 300 talented students, four Coláiste Cois Life students were awarded first place in the junior section of the Pop/Rock singing group category. These students include, Caoimhe Garvin, Helen Nic Cárthaigh, Liam Walsh and Daithí Ó hArrachtáin.
Also, from Coláiste Cois Life, students Cian Ó Braonáin, Titi Kareem, Emily Birch and Matthew Ó Cadhla performed in a group called, ‘Beocht’, and took second place in the senior section for the Pop/Rock singing group category.

In the junior section of the solo instrumentation category, Tom Ó Neill from Coláiste Cois Life took first place. Dedicated Coláiste Cois Life teacher, Elaine Uí Ghéaráin, guided these students to their success.
Seán Ó Ceallaigh, Gael Linn, praised the work put in by all the teachers and their dedication to encourage the young students who participated in the competition. He also thanked Foras na Gaeilge for their continuing support for the event.
From singing to instrumental these incredible students blew the audience away with their performances and represented their school well with their hard work.
