On the opening two days of the festival, the production ‘Maz & Bricks’, starring Tallaght’s Stephen Jones, is set in Dublin with the focus being on two becoming unlikely friends over the course of a day, and ‘Repeal the 8th’ demonstrations creating a backdrop.

Over the course of the following three days of the festival, audiences got a chance to feast their eyes on a trilogy of performances by multiple award-winning actor, Pat Kinevane.

Three different plays, three transformative performances started on Thursday, April 12th with ‘Underneath’ – when Pat portrays a woman searching for answers on how deep beauty goes.

On Friday, April 13th, he brought audiences a chance to take a peek inside the life of a homeless man in ‘Silent’.

The final production of the festival comes in the form of ‘Forgotten’, which is about four elderly characters residing in retirement homes – letting audiences hear the voices occasionally forgotten by Irish society.

Also on Saturday, April 14th, an introductory workshop for inspiring playwrights will take place from 10am until 5pm, giving those who attend a chance to let their creativity flow in a practical way, developing ideas for the big stage.

The final day’s plays begin at 8pm, with each ticket price starting at €16, or book two shows for €30 or three shows for €40.
