According to the Chief Executive Officer, Colm Ward there are four rangers assigned to Tymon depot, six to Corkagh depot and four to the Grange depot at Griffeen Valley Park.

Following recent recruitment the two vacancies in Tymon depot have been filled.

Tymon rangers cover Tymon Park, Rathfarnham Castle Park, Dodder Valley Park, Ballycragh Park, Kiltipper Park and other parks in the relevant area.

Corkagh rangers cover Corkagh Park, Rathcoole Park, Sean Walsh Park, Ballymount Park, Killinarden Park, Butler McGee Park, Jobstown Park, Carrigmore park and other parks in the relevant area.

Grange rangers cover Griffeen Valley Park, Waterstown Park, Collinstown park, Vesey Park, Airlie Park, Tandy’s Lane Park and other parks in the relevant area.

On June 12 The Echo reported that People Before Profit TD for Dublin South-West, Paul Murphy had recently claimed in the Dáil that the then two park rangers tasked with maintaining Tymon Park were “run off their feet” and called for more rangers to be recruited. Mr Murphy also referred to the greater number of park rangers stationed in Corkagh Park.

Previously in May, The Echo also reported that, according to South Dublin County Council, a budget of €1 million for park rangers in South Dublin County was to be used to fund 14 park rangers around the County.
