Covid19 – The Third Wave: TUH features in RTE Investigates documentary
TALLAGHT University Hospital features in an RTE Investigates feature length documentary due to air on Tuesday night, February 9.
Called Covid 19 – The Third Wave, the programme takes viewers into the heart of Tallaght University Hospital (TUH), where once again frontline staff face enormous challenges as they respond to the latest surge.

In a statement released, RTE Investigates, which filmed at TUH during the peak of the pandemic in January, said: “Going behind-the-scenes, the documentary reveals patients and staff confronting what is, for many, the greatest challenge of their lives.
“The increased spread of the virus during December left hospitals facing a massive spike in the number of cases requiring critical care.
“By mid-January ICUs were full with many hospitals forced to use their surge capacity, in Tallaght University Hospital some operating theatres were converted into ICU wards.”
RTE Investigates documentary at TUH
The feature length documentary will air at 9.35pm on Tuesday, February 9, on RTE One and RTE Player.
