Crumlin Under 19s eyeing up a double
CRUMLIN United’s Under 19 team are on course for a league and cup double this season.
The Pearse Park side, only last week, raised the league title after their 3-0 win over Peamount United that completed an unbeaten run in the competition.
Goals from Leon Foley and Noel Cummins helped them see out the campaign in style, leaving them to focus fully on their upcoming clash with Finglas Celtic in the Leinster Under 19 Cup decider in Richmond Park on Sunday, May 28.
The team secured their place in the final following their narrow 1-0 triumph over Drumcondra Stella Maris.
Meanwhile the Crumlin United Saturday team know that winning their closing three games to the season will earn them another LSL Major Division title.
Yet it will not be easy given that they are due to face the current top two sides in the table in Cherry Orchard and Malahide along with eighth place Bluebell United.
After an unbeaten run of 13 matches, this Crumlin side hit a wall with four straight defeats, but they returned to winning ways in the league with a 1-0 victory over Dublin Bus.
