
Curran to run in next general election
Dublin Mid West TD John Curran has been selected as the Fianna Fáil candidate for Dublin Mid-West in the next general election.
Deputy Curran was chosen at the party’s selection convention in the Lucan Spa Hotel.
He told The Echo: “I am honoured to have been selected as the Fianna Fáil candidate to contest the next General Election in Dublin Mid-West. It is a privilege to be selected once again by the Fianna Fáil organisation in Dublin Mid West.
“This is not something I am doing lightly. It is something I will do with passion, energy and commitment. Having lived in Clondalkin all my life I want to continue to work to improve the living standards and quality of life for all in our communities in Dublin Mid-West.”
Deputy Curran said the current Government are “failing miserable” to tackle the housing and homelessness crisis and the crisis in the Health Service.
He added: “Over the coming months I will be visiting people throughout the entire constituency of Dublin Mid-West to listen to their concerns, hopes and aspirations. I want to ensure that the policies I pursue are relevant and meaningful to people living in our community”.
