
Davis seniors battle back to secure victory
THOMAS Davis senior hurlers remain deadlocked in first position with Naomh Barróg after last Saturdays Adult Hurling League Division Two victory over Ballinteer St John’s in Marlay Park.
In a tight affair Thomas Davis finished strongly to overcome a six-point deficit to defeat Ballinteer by 1-16 to 1-13.
Ballinteer led 0-9 to 0-6 at half time after a good first half showing rom Kevin Ward, Conor Cronin and Fionn Lynch keeping the scoreboard ticking over throughout for the visitors.
Ballinteer got in for a goal in the 45th minute despite a brilliant double save by the impressive Davis keeper Cae Brennan.
Davy Byrne hit back with the vital goal soon after for the visitors with some good team play by Kevin Ward and Sean Reilly.
This was followed up with some excellent long-range points by Anto Barrett and Fionn Lynch.

Senior dual player Eoin Lambert played his last game of the year as he led the Davis defense from centre back, Eoin heads off to Australia on his travels for the remainder of the year.
Two key games remain as Davis will be hoping to get promoted to Division One for the first time.
Next up is St Jude’s at home on June 26 followed by St Sylvester’s away on June 29.
Meanwhile Thomas Davis junior one hurlers also remain in the hunt for promotion in AHL6 after receiving a walkover by Naomh Barróg on Sunday.
