
Davis U16 girls secure league crown
THOMAS Davis under 16A team secured the DLGFA Division Three title last week after a fine display with an 8-7 to 3-9 win over St Vincent’s.
This talented bunch of girls added another title to their impressive achievements after securing the Division Two Dublin League and Leinster Feile titles last year.
The side remain undefeated in the league this year winning all there matches against Raheny, Castleknock, Erin’s Isle, Cuala, Round Towers Lusk and finishing the impressive run with St Vincent’s last week.
Some outstanding performances going from the goalkeeper Stephanie Smith to a strong back line with Grace Leigh, Emma Lowth, Ciara Nugent and Sophie Palmer having some outstanding performances to the pacy midfield duo of Keelin Galvin and Eve Coleman.
Some fantastic scoring from the forwards of Ciara Mc Nally, Jessica Clinton Kenny and Nicole Phillips helped wrap up the league.
The girls are looking forward now to stepping up to Division Two for this year’s championship.
