Decision Analytics aims to have €1m annual turnover in real time processing
An early stage local data processing company is aiming to have a revenue of €1 million by the end of 2026.
Decision Analytics is a Tallaght-based company that processes the data of other companies in real time so that these companies can make decisions relating to their business also in real time.
CEO and Castleknock native, Eoin Carroll, who moved to Tallaght in 2020, explains a little further about what the company he founded does.
“We do business intelligence for food manufacturing companies. We started using off-the-shelf software products for data analytics but then we developed our own software programme.
“It helps businesses make better decisions with their sales teams,” said Eoin.
The software also has a forecasting element to it.
“When a business is introducing a new product, it can make use of forecasting, if one of its customers is going to leave, if they are buying less over time,” said Eoin.
Eoin also gave an example of a local company who is availing of the Decision Analytics software and the difference it has made to its business.
“A food producer in Dublin 24 was using Excel to look at its sales figures. There was a lag, they were looking at figures only every quarter, now they have live sales metrics and so can react to oppor-tunities a lot quicker,” said Eoin.
The Castleknock native explained the origins of his company and how his interest in processing data came about.
“I started the company from nothing, I studied engineering in DCU, I then worked in the UK for three years in manufacturing, I saw that data and analytics were important so I did the MSc in Analytics in UCD, I saw a gap to help businesses with their data. I worked with consulting firms BearingPoint and EY Partheon. I skilled up there, how to talk to clients. Then in 2022 I founded Decision Analytics,” said Eoin.
The UCD graduate is fulsome in his praise for the assistance and funding he has received from the South Dublin Local Enterprise Office, and he also has his eye on the future.
“My vision for the product is to add in more features, I also have a list of customers that I am looking to chase, I am looking also to expand to the US and UK markets as well, we are also looking into carbon reporting, not just the sales,” he said.
Eoin O’Reilly is the CTO at Decision Analytics and a new team member has also recently joined Eoin O’Carroll’s company as lead developer.
Eoin would love to talk to anyone who would like data analytics support – further information can be found at decisionanalytics.ai or by emailing Eoin at eoin@decisionanalytics.ai .
