Denning commits to GT4 European Series Championship

BUILDING on the momentum from an impressive debut season, Rathfarnham motorsport driver Alex Denning announced his commitment to the GT4 European Series championship for the 2024 season.

The decision to continue competing in this highly competitive series underscores Denning’s dedication to mastering the craft and leaving an indelible mark on the racing landscape.

The GT4 European Series has proven to be a formidable arena for emerging talents, and the decision to continue his journey in this arena reflects Denning’s determination to make a lasting impact.

The team at Elite Motorsport are gearing up for another season of intense competition and the former Young Motorsport Driver of the Year is in the hot seat and eyeing podium finishes, standing as a force to be reckoned with on track.

Denning comments on his 2024 racing plans, stating: “I am delighted to be returning to Elite Motorsport for the 2024 European GT4 Series.

“Continuity is something that has been difficult to achieve since my move to cars as each year I have been moving up the ranks into higher series”.

GT4 was always a two year programme for me so to be able to continue with a team that not only knows me and my driving style very well, but have the same desire for success, is a massive benefit for me.

“We had some set backs last year with bad luck and reliability issues, however the team at Elite Motorsport and McLaren Customer Racing have done relentless work over the winter break to ensure that we have the most competitive and reliable package possible going into 2024.

“We ended 2023 on a high at Barcelona and I have been working harder than ever behind the scenes to ensure we carry forward this momentum into the coming season.”
